HP has elevated Rajiv Srivastava to the regional position of Chief Operating Officer and Head of Sales, Strategy and Operations for Asia Pacific (APAC) and Japan operations.
Sumeer Chandra will replace Srivastava as MD and GM of HP India.
Srivastava and Chandra will report to HP president, Asia Pacific and Japan, Richard Bailey, in their new roles beginning in May 2017.
Rajiv Srivastava was responsible for business performance and growth for the entire portfolio of the group – computing and mobility, imaging and printing products and solutions. Rajiv assumed his current role in November 2015 post the Hewlett-Packard split.
Under Rajiv’s leadership, PPS India has seen a transformation to become market leaders in every product category. Along with this leading position, HP has been voted The Most Admired Technology brand for 2013 by the Brand Trust Report.
He also secured and executed one of the world’s largest digital inclusion initiatives – distribution of laptop computers to 1.5 million students in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. The project is unique in its scale and potential for social and economic transformation.
