Avaya Holdings Corp. announced that China Eastern Airlines has implemented a complete Avaya unified communication and collaboration solution to support its corporate headquarters and disperse operational locations.
As one of the first Chinese companies with business communications fully based on an IP architecture, China Eastern Airlines has dramatically reduced costs, increased efficiency, and built a solid, flexible communications foundation for the future.
Headquartered in Shanghai with branch offices all over the world, the airline is one of China’s largest major aviation companies with a fleet of over 600 passenger and cargo aircraft and serving more than 100 million passengers globally. As part of its global growth strategy, China Eastern Airlines has adopted Avaya’s full-IP solution, providing it with a fully mobile, highly reliable, flexible and scalable cloud-based communications system.
The project connects all branch offices and subsidiaries. The inherent mobility of the solutions brings down costs and significantly improves employee productivity.
Avaya’s Zhang Jing, regional sales leader for Greater China, said: “China Eastern Airlines is the first Chinese airline company using a full-IP architecture. This gives the company a major competitive edge, thanks to the adoption of a range of Avaya digital and unified communications solutions that are delivering a highly productive and mobile workforce; and solid foundations for its future business growth and development.”
