Arati Naik Eyeing The Bigger Picture For Digisol Systems Ltd.

Although there has been a lot of progress in empowering female leaders in the workplace, gender equality challenges still plague organizations all over the world. Chief Operating Officer at DIGISOL Systems Ltd., Arati Naik, on the other hand, is setting an example for the advancement of women with the potential to build successful businesses. Arati believes that short-term successes do not last very long so she leads her business with the mantra of always keeping the bigger picture in mind.

Over the years, Arati has brought in a lot of fresh focus for the company with an aim to transform the brand and reinvent networking which is her core strength. Reaching out to newer product markets and creating a niche for each product line, DIGISOL has seen healthy growth in the last few years. In addition, Arati’s contribution has resulted instrumental for marketing and spreading the company's SCS business in the international market such as the Middle East and Africa.

She is a graduate of Computer Science, post-graduate in Business & Information Systems from The University of Bolton, United Kingdom, and later attended IIM Bangalore, having done an Executive General Management Program. Arati started her career at D-Link in March 2008 as a Project Consultant where she imbibed key elements of product development, people management, developing key strategies for product launches and innovation. Arati's association with D-Link India Ltd. in the past and the expertise gathered catapulted her to the role of Chief Marketing Officer (CMO).

Currently, Arati is responsible for helping DIGISOL scale its operations and expand its presence on a national level. She is actively involved in managing sales, business development, human resources, policies, as well as privacy and communications. Under Arati’s leadership, the company took an important step in its corporate journey of 25 years by introducing a passive range of structured cabling business in India. Now DIGISOL offers a range of copper, fiber and FTTH Structured Cabling Solutions for customers in India along with its active products line.

Last year DIGISOL also introduced a complete range of Structured Cabling Products manufacturing under the Make in India initiative, which has gotten an overwhelming response from the channel and SI partners due to the availability of full range of networking products under one roof. DIGISOL claims to be very confident of accumulating a good market share in this category of products.

Other than leading DIGISOL as a strong Indian brand in the IT networking market, Arati wants to bring a change in the Indian students' life by working on a startup which can help in reducing their stress by connecting them with professional advisors. "Looking at the pressures and stress that today's students face in India, I would love to work on an online/mobile platform that can connect students with each other in similar situations and even link them to professional advisors who can guide them positively during such times. Sadly, the student suicide rate is only increasing, and if such a non-judgmental platform can be provided to them, then it can help to some extent," said Arati.

On the sidelines, while talking to BW Businessworld about the next buzzword in technology space, Arati said, “There are too many to become the next big thing but the way technology is evolving, self-driving cars and augmented reality should be the buzzwords for the recent future which might come in much earlier than expected.” Another thing on which Arati bets big on is Li-Fi. “There is just so much more to it than what is being explored,” she added.
