Riverbed announced that Gartner has once again positioned Riverbed as a Leader in its 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics,” marking Riverbed's fifth consecutive year in a Leader position.
In addition, Riverbed maintains its position as a Challenger in Gartner's 2018 “Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring Suites.
“Riverbed is proud to be named a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Network Performance Monitoring and Diagnostics for the fifth consecutive year and a Challenger again in the Magic Quadrant for Application Performance Monitoring Suites,” said Mike Sargent, senior VP and GM of Riverbed’s SteelCentral business unit.
“We believe Riverbed maintained these positions due to our continued innovation, and the integration of a rich set of capabilities that make our NPMD and APM solutions truly unique in the marketplace. From our point of view, only Riverbed SteelCentral offers companies the comprehensive and deep visibility required to manage the digital experience on an end-to-end basis, from the end user’s device, across networks, infrastructure, and into the code to assure a great user experience with business-critical applications.”
Over the past year, Riverbed re-engineered its NPMD solution and launched its new packet-based AppResponse 11 solution. The Company also delivered significant performance improvements to its flow-based analytics, and integrated EUE (end-user experience) Monitoring from SteelCentral Aternity into network troubleshooting workflows, providing a complete view of the digital user experience.
The Riverbed integrated SteelCentral NPMD more fully with Riverbed’s SD-WAN solution SteelConnect – the first and only SD-WAN solution that provides unified connectivity and policy-based orchestration spanning the entire distributed network – hybrid WAN, branch LAN/WLAN, data centers, and the cloud. These coupled with strong go-to-market execution contributed to SteelCentral’s continued leadership position.
