Radware announced that Hawaiian Telcom’s new cloud-based Secure Internet Protection service uses Radware’s real-time Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attack mitigation to protect its business clients and corporate network.
Hawaiian Telcom, Hawaii’s Technology Leader, which offers fiber-based communication, information and entertainment solutions to the people and businesses of Hawaii, continually seeks new defenses and enhancements to protect both itself and the banks, hospitals, government agencies, military branches, schools, and other institutions that rely on its service.
Radware’s Attack Mitigation System (AMS) protects Hawaiian Telcom’s customers against DDoS attacks that can cause network outages and application service degradation.
It also mitigates network-wide, multi-vector attacks and scrubs volumetric attacks within the Hawaiian Islands, without having to divert traffic to the mainland. Using advanced behavioral analysis technology, Radware’s AMS can quickly and accurately mitigate malicious traffic without any downtime.
“Our customers need their networks up and running 24/7, 365 days per year,” said Paul Krueger, VP – Business Sales & Product Marketing at Hawaiian Telcom.
“Radware’s behavioral analysis, which intelligently blocks malicious traffic and scrubs volumetric attacks, as well as its proven flexibility and interoperability were the primary factors in integrating it into our solution. With Hawaiian Telcom’s Secure Internet Protection solution, our customers are able to stay ahead of today’s evolving threat landscape and guard against DDoS attacks.”
“Companies in the telecommunications industry are facing great pressure to protect themselves and customers,” said Roy Zisapel, CEO of Radware. “We’re proud to provide our best-in-class DDoS protection to Hawaiian Telcom and its customers to prevent the massive operational and economic impacts that these attacks can cause.”
