Kroll Announces Strategic Partnership with CIS

Kroll, a leader in risk mitigation, investigations, compliance, cyber resilience, security, and incident response solutions, announced a partnership with the Center for Internet Security (CIS), a nonprofit entity that strives to safeguard organizations against cyber threats.

The partnership will provide public entities and state governments with fully-integrated cyber-resiliency risk assessments and strategies designed to help those entities close any gaps in their cybersecurity postures and better position them to manage and reduce these increasing cyber risks.

The assessments and recommendations will be based on the CIS Controls, which are recognized best practices for securing IT systems and data against pervasive cyber-attacks, and leverage Kroll's experience conducting cybersecurity assessments and investigations. Services provided will include information security program assessments designed to provide an understanding of an entity's cybersecurity risk profiles, penetration testing, and advanced threat and analysis monitoring.

"We are excited to enter into this partnership, and believe matching the experience and expertise of Kroll with CIS will help public entities and state governments most effectively identify, assess, and confront their most challenging and critical security concerns," said David Fontaine, CEO of Kroll and its parent, Corporate Risk Holdings.

"State governments are tasked with a number of responsibilities that give rise to a unique risk profile, from protecting election infrastructure to ensuring that all state government agencies – that are entrusted with highly sensitive and often confidential personal information – are effectively and consistently monitoring for these real and growing threats," added Jason Smolanoff, senior MD and global Cyber Security Practice Leader for Kroll. "We understand the complex and constantly-evolving threat landscape faced by these public and government entities, and look forward to using our expertise to help them overcome these challenges."
