Hinduja Global Solutions Ltd (HGS) has launched a new facility in Raipur, India.
Situated in a prime business location in the city, the 19,000 sq. ft. center has a capacity of 480 seats and currently has 890 employees. The new center is expected to grow to a headcount of 1,200 employees by end of 2017.
Ramesh Gopalan, president – Global Healthcare and head of India Business, HGS said: “HGS is witnessing significant growth in India, led by the continued trust of our clients and growing business opportunities. Raipur has played a key role in this growth story and we expect the new center to help us further capitalize on the increasing demand for our high-value services.”
HGS entered Raipur through the acquisition of a significant part of Mphasis’ BPM operations in India in September 2015. Started in May 2010 with 120 seats, the Raipur center has grown rapidly to become the No.1 BPM employer in Chhattisgarh, India. HGS’ new facility in Raipur will consolidate existing operations and new business in one location.
Currently, the team provides inbound customer care support to customers of a telecom giant for its Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh circles, handling over 27 lakh calls per month. A fast-growing tier II city, Raipur and its satellite towns have a huge talent base with thousands of graduates passing out of its 65 commerce colleges each year. HGS is looking to leverage this pool of Hindi and English speaking under-graduates (10+2) and graduates to provide comprehensive voice-based customer experience solutions to telecom and e-commerce clients.
